Guidelines for dog owners
[Our designated dog friendly room is the ground floor superking suite (maximum of two dogs) and, if this is unavailable. please call us before making a reservation with your dog/s. We do not permit dogs in all our rooms].
We are delighted you are bringing your dog/s to stay with us, especially since Bella, our own elderly chocolate labrador, passed away in September 2024. Nevertheless, we are also mindful that some guests may not be so keen on the canine members of your family, and so we respectfully ask that you take note of the following guidelines.
Inside the Hotel:
- Dogs are allowed in the hall, stairs, and your room, but generally not in the public lounge or dining areas. Please keep your dog/s under control and on a lead outside of your room.
- Please take your dog/s with you when you go out.
- We ask that dogs stay on the floor in your room. If you think it is likely that they may jump on the bed or sofa, please use the covers/blankets we have placed in your room to protect our furniture and bed linen.
Outside the Hotel:
- Dogs are allowed on the veranda and the smaller lawn at the side of the house adjacent to the car park. We prefer to keep the front garden dog-free for our guests to enjoy. The village recreation ground is a stone’s throw away for dogs wishing to exercise their owners! Please ask for directions.
- Please clear up after your dog/s (biodegradable poo bags and torches are available on request). A grey dog bin is available on the veranda outside the front door.
- We have some old towels that you are welcome to use to clean/dry your dog/s if required. Please ask.
We are confident that you and your dog/s will take care of our property. In the unlikely event of an accident, we may have to make a charge for any damage/extra cleaning involved.
We hope that you and your dog/s really enjoy your stay with us. If there are any questions or problems at all, please let us know so we can help.
Thank you for your understanding.
