Take a foodie foray into Exmoor

Exmoor is not often described as foodie heaven, but it is somewhere away from the hungry hoards that’s ripe for exploring.

Holidaymakers flock to Devon and Cornwall and express their delight at the fresh fish, the dairy products and the rare breed meats they can find there, but here in Somerset there are lots of growers, farmers and producers doing wonderful things too and we’re very keen to support them.

Visitors are surprised and delighted when they discover that here in Somerset we have more than 8,500 farmers and food producers, which is more than any other county in the UK.

We have wonderful local produce on our menu all year round including meat, game, eggs, cheese, fruit and vegetables. We even have oysters when they are in season and asparagus too.

But if the glorious food wasn’t enough, when you stay with us you can also enjoy easy access to Exmoor with its glorious seascapes, rolling hills and deep, wooded coombes.

We’re a good base for those who enjoy strolling, ambling or full on rambling with both moorland and the South West Coast Path close by.

We offer luxury accommodation for those wishing to escape the hurly burly of everyday life and to explore a truly tranquil part of the world with stunning scenery all year round. We also have a log burning stove in the lounge for warming your toes in the autumn and winter months!

If you want to bring your dog for a break too, then you can. Just get in touch and let us know what your requirements are before booking.
